We offer a range of piecing studs, including 14K gold, surgical stainless steel, plated stainless steel, and titanium. All of our studs are hypoallergenic and sterilized, and made from the highest quality materials. Fused Permanent Jewelry can perform piercings along the outer edge of the ear (cartilage) and the earlobes.

What is permanent jewelry made of?

Fused uses Gold-Filled jewelry and Sterling Silver. Gold-Filled jewelry is very similar to solid gold, holding many of the same qualities but is less of an investment. The outside layer of Gold-filled jewelry is always a thick layer of 14K gold with a mixed metal alloy in the middle. Sterling Silver is mixed with 92.5% sterling (pure silver) and 7.5% alloy metals. The alloy metals are very beneficial because they make sterling silver much more durable and desirable, especially in permanent jewelry.

How does permanent jewelry work?

Permanent jewlery is applied with a welding machine, which allows for dainty metals to be welded together in a fraction of a second. This weld diminishes the need for a clasp. Because of this, your jewelry is completely customized to the perfect size.

Where do I go to get fused?

Schedule your individual or small group appointments at our new location at 220 Central Ave. in Downtown Osseo, MN. If you have 5 or more ladies, host a party at the location of your choice! Fused will travel throughout the Twin Cities. Host a party with 5 or more people and receive $25 off your purchase!

Can permanent jewelry be removed?

If pieces need to be removed, they can be snipped at the weld site with a pair of scissors or wire cutters. Travelers are permitted to wear real jewelry through airport security without issue, but there are situations where jewelry may need to be removed for a medical procedure. If that happens, contact Fused and we will be happy to re-weld your piece free of charge.

What if my jewelry breaks?

Fused will ensure your piece is fully welded on you and there are no issues with the chain on the day of your appointment. If enough pressure is applied to the chain or if it gets caught somewhere, the chain can break. Contact Fused immediately if you need a repair.

Will piercing my ears hurt?

Our piercing instrument and earrings provide a gentle and virtually pain-free piercing experience. Some customers may experience a slight sting and feel warm after the procedure, but most report very little to no pain at all.

Can you pierce over a hole that has been previously closed?

Yes, as long as there are no visible lumps, bumps, or bruises.

Can I get my ears pierced if I am pregnant or on medication?

You should consult your doctor. The risk of infection is greater when the immune system is compromised by a pregnancy. Some medications thin the blood while others may interfere with the healing process.

What part of my ear can you pierce?

Our piercing instrument is safe to use on the outer ear, including the earlobe and cartilage. The MN Department of Health allows non-licensed body art technicians to pierce of the outer perimeter or the lobe of the ear using a presterilized single-use stud-and-clasp ear-piercing system.

Will you use a gun to pierce my ears?

No. We use an FDA approved, medical grade device called STUDEX System 75. It comes with fully sealed cartridges and is contained inside a sterile package. The cartridge is disposable and cannot be reused, ensuring a hygenic experience for both the Ear Piercing Specialist and the customer.

How long will it take for my ears to heal?

With STUDEX aftercare solution, it usually takes 6 weeks for the earlobes and 12 weeks for cartilage to heal. With STUDEX advanced aftercare solution (available for an additional fee), it usually takes 3 weeks for lobes and 8 weeks for cartilage.

How likely am I to get an infection after having my ears pierced?

If the aftercare instruction are properly followed, it is unlikely you will develop an infection.

My ears are irritated, what should I do?

Redness, pain and swelling are not normal reactions to ear piercing. Unless your reaction is due to the aftercare, continue using STUDEX aftercare products and consult your physician.

Do you do piercing parties?

Yes! You can host a permanent jewelry party and/or a piercing party! Both parties require at least 5 participants (can be a combination of jewelry and piercings). Message me to book!
